Anaerobic Baffled Reactor is one of the most efficient anaerobic treatment processes which produces the lowest sludge, needs low nutrients and energy, produces methane as by product, does not allow volatile toxic organic compounds in the atmosphere, and tolerates higher organic loads compared to aerobic biological treatment
With the project instead of the widely used up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket reactors (UASB) anaerobic baffled reactor is developed with local resources and a pilot rector is being tested.
